We're in a bit of a strange moving situation right now where most of my things have been tucked away in a storage unit for 2 months. It's amazing, I've maybe missed about 10 items out of the whole lot!

It's funny how you think something is special or you absolutely need it, and then you don't miss it or manage to get by without it. I won't deny, things are nice, but they are just things.

Still, if I ever had to choose the things to take with me after all living creatures were safe, I would pick my original art pieces, and any rare books or DVDs I own.Zannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02429843043393710861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699469497049302896.post-48338066569179313852011-06-22T21:59:52.236-04:002011-06-22T21:59:52.236-04:00I have often thought about this since I watched my...I have often thought about this since I watched my neighbor's house burn to the ground about 12 years ago. If you would have asked me this back then I would have said, kids, pets, family photos. Now I have no kids at home so I don't have to save them. I back up all my photos (including the scanned images of older ones) and other computer files online so I don't need to save them.

So I would save my 2 pets FIRST and IF I HAD TIME I'd grab my purse because it does have my phone, wallet, tablet pc, and digital camera.

Everything else can be recoved via my home owner's insurance policy.

Now, if I had time say because a wildfire was coming, or flood, I would grab my laptop, some clothes, jewelry, and a few other personal items.

Great post!Sheryl Hastingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05659194602776563150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699469497049302896.post-85791340114364619812011-06-22T21:54:17.147-04:002011-06-22T21:54:17.147-04:00Hey, I'm your newest follower, found you on Et...Hey, I'm your newest follower, found you on Etsy!
